Phlock of South Jersey Meeting Minutes 5/14/09

Meeting called to order at 7:10pm

 

Motion made, 2nd to approve and accept minutes from last meeting.

 

Treasurer’s Report-Carolyn stated that we did well with the Birthday Bash and covered our expenses.  With the raffle for the Margaritaville jacket, 50/50 and basket, we made $900 towards Camp No Worries.  Carolyn made a motion to add $33 from our funds to round our total to Camp No Worries to $1500.00.  2nd by Lelania.  Unanimously Approved.

Events- 5/17 Happy Hour at Grog & Grill in Oaklyn.  Note time change: 3-7pm  w/Matt Quinlan playing

6/28 HH at Shady Katie's with Jim Morris $10 at door (Co-sponsored with Philly Phins)

7/12 HH at Jughandle Inn outside bar, weather permitting. 

8/15 Alzheimer’s Event at Taylor’s

 

Charity – Sandy purchased the Adirondack chair which she will paint for the Alzheimer’s Event for auction.

-Norm mentioned the Trop Rock awards with the Margarita Mafia again are asking for sponsors.  Sponsorship is $100 for the club name to put on banner at MOTM.  Norm will be in charge of taking donations for this event.  Any amount is greatly appreciated.

 

President – The Preconcert party at “Game On!” in Atlantic City is scheduled from 1-5pm with Jimmy & the Parrots playing.  Located at Caesars Pier.

Dave was interviewed by the Courier Post about being a parrothead and our charitable events.  Hopefully it is in print prior to the June concert.

 

Dave mentioned that Paul & Dot Crotta are looking for tickets to the ACY show. Contact Dave.
