Phlock of South Jersey Meeting Minutes 7/9/09
Meeting opened at 7:18pm
Board Members: Terri Hood, Sandy Voigtsberger, Carolyn Conley, WN Bunch, Cindy Cowling, John and Nancy Repash, Norm Gaskill
General Members: Mike Bohaczyk, Mary Genovese, Pat Iacovelli, Helene Genovese, Jerry Cantlin, Jean Niznick, Carol and Kevin Moore.
Motion made by Terri to accept minutes from last meeting, 2nd by WN
John Repash, VP, sitting in for President Dave Hood, noted that a private vote via email by Board Members will be made for the Events Chairman position.
Motion made by Terri to vote in Kevin and Carol Moor as the new Parrotphernalia people. 2nd by Nancy. Unanimous decision.
VP – Nothing
Treasurer – Carolyn gave out financials. We are solvent.
-She also requested donations of baskets for the Chinese Auction at the Alzheimer’s Event in August. The more, the better.
Secretary - Nothing
Events – Nancy
July 12 – Jughandle Inn, Maple Shade 2-6pm at the Gazebo with Greg Parker playing guitar. ½ price wings, cheeseburgers, $3 Corona, Margaritas and $2 Parrot Bay Shots
If raining, we will be downstairs in main building
Aug.15 – Taylors-Alzheimer’s Event Party 1-6pm with The Mango Men entertaining. Drink specials, Chinese auction, and as always, lots of phun for a great cause. Come Party with a Purpose!
Sept. 13-Joint HH with Philly Phins at Café Madison/Town Tavern in Riverside from 1-5pm with Matt Quinton playing guitar. Free appetizers and ½ price drinks. www.cafemadison.com
Oct. 4-Memory Walk in Atlantic City. Details coming soon.
Oct. 18-Tentative – Cooper River Clean Up and HH at Connie Mac’s

Club Liaison –Terri
-We raised $336 along with the Philly Phins participation for the 50/50 for Camp No Worries. The person who won donated all the money back. Thank you!
-Mar. 4-6 – Stars Fell on Alabama registration is open, but limited.
Charity – Sandy
-Please help donate gifts/baskets for the Alzheimer’s Event on Aug. 15. Let Carolyn Conley know what you are able to donate so that we can have all the basket descriptions and numbers done ahead of time.

We have 8 additional renewals for May (which were inadvertently omitted)
And 1 June renewal and 1 July renewal
