Meeting opened at 7:11pm
Board Members: Dave & Terri Hood, Carolyn Conley, Kevin & Carol Moore, Lelania Wells, Sandy Voightsberger, WN Bunch, Norm Gaskill, Tracy McEneany, Cindy Cowling
General Members: Helene Genovese, Mary Genovese, Roger Butler, Mike Bohaczyk, Joe Purcell, Jeanne Niznik, Gene Viereck
Motion made by Lelania Wells to approve minutes of last meeting, 2nd by Terri Hood
VP – absent
Treasurer – no change in cash
- Alzheimer’s Event was a success and we made $4250 to donate
- Motion made by Carolyn to have Tracy McEneany and Joe Kotusky work together on the newsletter, 2nd by Lelania Wells All in favor
- The concert in Atlantic City was FABULOUS!!! Everyone being together: great phriends, great times!
Secretary – Read correspondence: Thank you note from Sandy Voightsberger
- Thank you to everyone who helped hand out water at Tony’s Run – we made the Retrospect!
Membership – Nancy was absent, read by Carolyn
7 new members and 4 renewals
Website – Norm has updated the website with Terri’s info for the PHIP Secretary position. He will put up new pictures of committee members and events shortly
- Sent $100 check to Margarita Mafia for MOTM event sponsorship. Thank you to those club members who chipped in for this.
Charity – Sandy announced that there is a Walk-a-thon for Dooley house on 9/26/09
Parrotphernalia – Kevin and Carol have been trying out some new items that will be sold at this month’s happy hour on 9/13. New: Bags, long sleeve T’s, hats, and visors. Get ‘em while they’re hot!
Publicity – none
Liaison – Terri announced that she is more relaxed after vacation and speaking much s-l-o-w-e-r now!
- Bring canned good to the HH to help Philly Phins donate to the Foodbank
- 9/27 Shore Casino in Atlantic Highlands $40 includes food.
- 12/5 Bucks Co. PH Club is having Jimmy and the Parrots and Nadira Shakoor. More info to come for hotel deals, etc.
Events – WN
- 9/13 Phlock & Phins joint Happy Hour from 1-5pm at Café Madison in Riverside. Meet at the Rt.73 and River Rd. Riverline station to take the train! Matt Quinton will entertain us!
- 10/4 Memory Walk in Atlantic City – any questions or to help hand out food/participate, contact Carolyn Conley. We can always use extra help
- 10/18 Cooper River Clean up – Meet at the Boathouse at 12:00pm on North Park Drive, Pennsauken. Afterwards, we’ll have our Happy Hour at Connie Mac’s from 2-6pm
President – Dave opened nominations for Vice President and Treasurer for this meeting and October, voting in November.
Lelania nominated Carolyn Conley for Treasurer. 2nd by Sandy. Carolyn accepted nomination
WN nominated John for VP, 2nd by Lelania. As John was not present, he will have to accept or decline at the next meeting.
